Based on Taihe's directional drilling equipment and technology, directional long boreholes with a diameter of ≥300mm are constructed in the fracture zone of the working face roof to replace high-drainage roadways. This approach not only ensures the effectiveness of gas extraction but also addresses the issues of long construction periods, heavy workloads, and high investment costs associated with high-drainage roadways. Large-diameter directional long boreholes typically achieve a gas extraction concentration of 20–80% and a pure gas extraction rate of 10–50 m³/min, providing a more reliable and efficient guarantee for the safe and high-efficiency mining of the working face.
