The complete set of equipment and technology achieved good application results in the project of "Directional Drilling Construction for the Section of the Project from Guangzhou Railway Station to Guangzhou South Railway Station Passing Under Structures", and was unanimously recognized by the leaders and experts of China Railway Siyuan Survey and Design Group Co., Ltd.

The line of this project passes through a densely populated housing area from DK6+600 to DK7+200. Horizontal directional drilling was used to find out the detailed geological conditions of the tunnel body to meet the relevant requirements of tunnel design. The boreholes were drilled from the ground to the position of the tunnel body, and then directional drilling was carried out along the line direction at a position 1m below the bottom of the tunnel to extract rock cores.
