Consolidation Project of the Quicksand Layer in Yuandatan Coal Mine of Shaanxi Zhongneng Coal Industry Co., Ltd.

(1) Project Situation:

The in-borehole construction area is located at the roadway floor with a burial depth of 110m. In order to obtain the physical performance data of the consolidated body, grouting, sand consolidation and coring operations are carried out on the ground. Boreholes with a diameter of φ90mm and a depth of 5m and 7m are respectively constructed for sampling (see Figure 10-1 for the coring site). In the in-borehole construction area at the roadway floor with a burial depth of 110m, the high-molecular sand consolidation material of MidwestMGS type is used for grouting and sand consolidation operations.

2)Material Situation:

1)  MidwestMGS  MidwestMGS Type Sand Consolidation Material

Application Scenarios: Applied in the fields of railways, highways, subways, tunnels, and mining. It is suitable for working conditions such as the rapid consolidation of wet and saturated soft rock formations (silt) and flowing sand layers during penetration. The compressive strength of the consolidated body is greater than 30MPa. It has ultra-low viscosity, excellent fluidity, is not affected by water, and the diffusion radius can be controlled by adjusting the dosage of the catalyst.

Main Components: It is a two-component material, and the main components are modified resin curing agents, etc.

Material Properties: The resin can form a high-strength polymer in the voids of the flowing sand. It has a high adhesive force with the flowing sand, and the compressive strength of the consolidated body reaches 3.5 - 30MP. It has ultra-low viscosity, and the diffusion radius of the slurry reaches 1 - 1.5m. It has good flame retardancy. It does not expand after mixing, and the polymerization reaction is not affected by water. By adjusting the catalyst, the reaction rate can be controlled. The polymerization reaction of the resin after mixing will not cause pollution to the groundwater. The solidified body can resist most organic solvents, acids and alkalis, as well as organic microorganisms. The consolidated body can become a part of the permanent support.

2)  MidwestSGS  MidwestSGS Type Polymer Non-dispersible Grouting Material in Water

Main Components: It is a powdered grouting material compounded from water-soluble polymer surfactants and other substances.

Material Properties: It has excellent anti-dispersibility and good fluidity. When constructing underwater, cement and aggregates will not disperse, and it has excellent self-compactness. It sets quickly and has high early strength. As required, it can be mixed with fine sand or clay in a certain proportion (the maximum cement-aggregate ratio is 1:16).

Application Scenarios: Applied in the fields of mines and tunnels, it is suitable for the working conditions of water blocking and filling in dry or still water karst caves and rock masses with large joint fractures. It can be used as a leakage blocking material in karst caves with a certain flow velocity and flow rate.

Product Advantages: It can be pumped over long distances through pipelines. It can withstand the impact of water flow and will not pollute the construction water area. The grouting range can be controlled, which saves materials and improves efficiency.

3) New Type of Nano Inorganic Reinforcement Material

Material Characteristics: This material is a single-component inorganic mineral powder material, which is non-flammable. When in use, it is directly mixed with water in a certain proportion. The reaction time can be adjusted according to the on-site conditions. The slurry has a low viscosity and excellent penetration and diffusion performance. The elastic modulus of the consolidated body is similar to that of coal and rock masses, which is more conducive to restoring the overall supporting load of loose and broken coal and rock masses. 

Scope of Application: It is applicable for the rapid consolidation of loose and broken coal and rock masses in coal mine excavation and mining working faces; for the advanced reinforcement when the excavation and mining working faces encounter geological structures, faults, fracture zones, collapse columns, etc.; for the rapid reinforcement of broken and loose coal and rock masses in high-level drill sites; and for the reinforcement during the processes of uncovering coal in stone gates, the passage for removing supports, and the reinforcement of thin coal pillars.

Product Performance: It is a 100% inorganic material that directly reacts and consolidates after being mixed with water, ensuring safety and reliability. It has strong permeability, high adhesive force, and rapid strength growth. The elastic modulus of the consolidated body is close to that of coal and rock masses, which is more beneficial for restoring the overall supporting load of broken coal and rock masses. The product has strong applicability and can be used for the advanced consolidation and strengthening of excavation working faces, unexcavated surfaces of tunnels, foundations, etc. The construction equipment and technology are quick, simple, and highly efficient.

Product Packaging: It is sealed and packaged in moisture-proof bags, with each bag weighing 25 kg. Store it in a dry, cool and ventilated place. Exposure to the sun and rain is strictly prohibited. The shelf life of the product is 6 months.
